Stream Mastering

What Is Stream Mastering?
Stream mastering is a specialized mastering process designed to ensure music plays at the best sound quality and correct loudness across different digital platforms.
While standard mastering optimizes a track in general, stream mastering focuses on the technical requirements of each streaming service. This ensures the song sounds clean, distortion-free and consistent everywhere.

How Is Stream Mastering Done?

  1.  Loudness Optimization for Each Platform: Every platform has its own loudness standards. The track is adjusted according to these exact values.
  2.  Limiting and Compression: Peak levels are controlled and distortion is prevented, while maintaining a powerful and dynamic sound.
  3.  EQ and Tonal Balance: Because streaming algorithms can affect certain frequencies, tonal adjustments are made to compensate for potential losses.
  4.  Stereo and Depth Adjustments: The music is shaped to remain spacious and balanced whether it is played on headphones, speakers or a phone.
  5.  Multiple Format Preparation: The final track is exported in high-quality formats such as WAV, FLAC, AAC and MP3.

Why Is Stream Mastering Necessary?
Because music today is primarily listened to through streaming. Each platform compresses audio differently. Stream mastering ensures the track sounds just as good and competitive everywhere.
